God, my Fairy Tale Lover!

The Lord God truly cannot be compared to any God or Man. Excellent in all ways, Good in all aspects, steady as a Rock, my shield and my defender, my strength when all fails. The only one that impresses me, and impresses me only, Dear God, You deserve all the glory.

Today, I watched the Royal wedding. I saw the flurry of the comments my friends made. Many said they still believed in fairy tales, that dreams indeed still came true. Dreams of marrying a prince I wonder? Or dreams that there is such a thing as marrying a prince? Whichever the case may be, one thing is certain, with God, every day has been for me a fairy tale.

Of course it has been. Has He not been that lover that lays besides you at night, keeping watch over you all through the night, neither feeling sleepy or fallen deep in sleep? Has He not been the one that gently wakes you up in the morning with a loving Kiss, regardless of what state you’re in, even in those hideous “hair nets” that you use to keep your hair in place J. Was He not the first to bless you for the day, and equip you with all you need to have a successful day? Was He not the one that called you all through the day, to make sure your day was all right, and that you weren’t stressing over “issues” you felt were quite overwhelming. Was He not there when you ran back home at the close of day, and made sure you had enough to eat for Dinner. Was He not there to entertain your spirit, and encourage you after You told Him, what a day you’ve had, always a listening ear?

Oh Yes, with God, every day is a fairy Tale, and I thank God that because He is faithful, pure and trustworthy, I can rest assured that He will never change His love towards me. He is constant, closer than a brother, and I am confident that He will never leave me or forsake me in times of troubles – like those false gods, who cannot hear or speak – [1 Kings 18:26: So they prepared one of the bulls and placed it on the altar. Then they called on the name of Baal from morning until noontime, shouting, “O Baal, answer us!” But there was no reply of any kind. Then they danced, hobbling around the altar they had made].

Dear Lord, thank you for being so constant and true, throughout every challenge that came my way. Lord I thank you, for remaining strong, when I am completely week. Thank You Lord for being my hope in the face of despair. Thank You Lord for being my salvation in place of destruction. Dear Lord God, You deserve all the glory.
