I love the LORD
Today I woke up and realized,
I am running out of time and have nothing to show for it that will please You Lord.
I love you so much.
I was excited this morning when I spoke to Ivan concerning You.
A once professed atheist who now visits “shamas”!
has now bought the Bible and will start with the book of John.
Lord I’m excited that my many talks with the help of the Holy Spirit will one day yield fruit.
I love you so much.
My heart aches sometimes when I think of all the things I have still yet to do in Honour of You. My life is changing every moment, and all I see in everything is You.
My life is slowly fading out into a Life that only wants to dwell permanently in Your presence.
Lord, what can I ever render unto You for all Your wonderful mercies towards me?
I love you so much.
You are all I desire and will ever want.
This fleeting earth has NOTHING I desire Lord.
You are my sanity,
My Joy, whose smile towards me gladdens my heart.
My Love, who keeps me steady and catches me when I stumble.
I love you so much.
My heart aches whenever I feel that I have in someway disappointed You.
My life’s desire is to live a life that will please You.
Help me Lord, empower me Lord, and enable me Lord,
So that I am able to please You the way you want me to.
I love you Lord.
All my Life I will still Love You.
And till death I will remain in Love with You.
Faithfully Yours
Me

Poetic Mondays - You and Me
Its my Birthday week, and I am so excited to have this posted. I am in love with poetry and with him more today than ever ( I am still away in Nigeria, hope these Poetic monday posts have warmed the heart, as much as they've warmed mine). Merry Christmas Everyone, see you in 2009 Godwilling.
You and Me
When the winds rushes over the sweeping plain
I think of your hair how long and beautiful they are
Tossed long and flowing
When I see your face smiling at the jokes I make
I see a flushed valley summer still
And a couple who wander in the heat of the day
Tell of a sea and sky and an island of sand
With the palms swaying gently, while the owls decry
Tell of a tall young tree
In spring time a-growing and summer to come
And am alone here wishing the day you shall be called mine

Poetic Mondays - I shall love you
I shall love you
Till poets no longer rhyme
Till church bells refuse to chime
Till my hands cannot hold the sands of time
Till a memory no longer lingers
Till the world produces no singers
Till the sand of time slip through my fingers
Till children never play in the street
Till babies never search for the teat
Till the sand of time fall to my feet
Till there's no one left to save
Till the sea can make no wave
Till the sand of time fill up my grave.......

Poetic Mondays - Thoughts of a New Week!!
Thoughts of a New Week
For this Monday I give you this
May each awakening Monday morning
Be blessed in thine adorn
As stars at night-
Shine forth their light-
In grace to greet the dawn of that weekend
May each day bring anew-
Thy word so constant true
Let voices sing-
To praise our king-
Who died for me and you
May each approaching noon-
Evolve from May till June
For in this trace
This human race-
Shall seek our saviour soon
May each attending night
Behind its depths, thy light
Glow-by our side
God –be our guide
Our hope, our Faith, our righteousness

Poetic Mondays - Commitment
Commitment
Screams compelled by stomach that twist
From flying sofas that spin and spiral and bounce and whirl
With candyfloss frothing dizzy expressions
To the strident music ascending excitement
Jewelled lights tattooing the air
Blurring all focus
Increasing involvement
Oasis of fantasy
Eventually to STOP
Let me shArE this with you
I had a love of long ago
He was a soldier as you can see
he died that we could be free
I was too young to understand
What a man will do for his land
But older now I try to see
Just what this soldier did for me
He gave his life that we could go
Forward with no enemies so
Now I beg all stop and think
Before you kick up all that stink
About some silly chit or chat
That in the end matters not a drat
Now think about your self
Can you die for your friend?
Or any body in your family?
But Jesus died for you and I
In return what have you done for him?
He is neither greedy nor selfish
Just a little praise and thanks ..........
He ask from you and I
It cost nothing
Not expensive and easy to say
Yet we are too busy to do so
He who can take his own life
Can also take yours, even that job that makes you too busy
My dear
Just close your eyes for a second
And say
Lord Jesus thank you for dying for me
That I may live
May I never be too busy to find time and worship you
Teach me to live for you and you alone

Poetic Mondays - A friendship
A friendship
Where did it begin?
This stream so luminously clear?
Its waters so warm
That even I cannot escape
From its vapours
Which now envelops my every being
I wish I knew
And yet I know it’s good
How deep does it run?
This stream of contentment
I try to gaze through
The ripples of laughter
But yet my eyes are blind
They do not wish to see
For fear of seeing the truth
I wish I knew
And yet I know it’s good
Where does it lead to?
This stream so warm, so deep,
So luminously clear
Will it be shared again?
By hearts that once thrived
Upon its healthy vapours
I wish I knew
And yet I know it’s good

One Thing I ask
Started to ponder
I digress
But
Did YOU make any promises to me
I know the Promises of Abraham's decendants are mine
Through the reason of the new convenant
Through the blood of Jesus
So I figured
Since God's spirit testifies with mine
That I'm His child
Then all His promises in the bible are mine
But I figured
Surely not all of them
Surely some are blessed more than others
Surely some are destined for greatness
And others
well, go figure
But I'm reminded today
Whose report will I believe
Will I follow the multitude and conclude I am less
That good things only happen to others
That good things are what you hear for others
That the Lord has brought you into this world
To complain and know pain
Or will you be among the few
The Joshua's and Caleb
You are a child of destiny Im told
A light to the world
And the salt of the earth
You have been purposely
And Uniquely placed
And the Lord has always been with you
You must be made uncomfortable
That is why your testimony
And landmarks of progress cannnot be equivalent to others
You will see what your Life will be used for
And eyes have yet to see what I have instore for you
The enemy may be battling against your destiny
But its a battle destined for failure
Because I already know the end from the begining
I will not appologise for the struggles
Because you can only learn from sink swim situation
Though you didn't listen when I spoke to you
Have wondered constantly in Disobedience
Had no interest in the things that pleases me
Even then I refused to love you any less
And now still
The promises are there for you for the taking
But you must want it enough
Not to give up at every chance of struggle
You are already Victorious
But know this
Be aware
Be on alert
Always be on your guard
Lest the enemy might come and steal your joy
And convince you it is I who have refused to bless you

Stumbled upon a miracle
stumbled upon a miracle
I really wasn’t expecting any more goodies
My life had dried up
I said those prayers albeit mechanically
I had my share of crisis
A lot on these shoulders
A man who was never a boy
For love not fear was why I cared
I lived to make them proud and I did
Resources depleted.
Bad decisions
The bane of every man
The pieces started coming together
Refusal to let go
My terrible pain akin to addiction
I let go- totally
They said it would be a sword
A spiritual one
How true they were
In a sense. I was in Chains: a prisoner of unrequited love
Suddenly I was free
Tunnel vision. No more I see the designs. Clear patterns now
It came when I didn’t expect
This miracle I stumbled upon
Like all things that are meant to be: no plot, no ploy no scheme, just bliss
The man two thousand years ago who came and healed and cleansed
Did so as simply too
I believe that it is so
The simplicity of my miracle
I don’t confess to know it all
I admit to have it all
But I can tell you what I read
I read: 1 Corinthians 13:4
From a book inspired by the man
It will keep my miracle intact

I am gliding on these wheels
I am gliding on these wheels
Am tired restless, out of breath, am I dying slowly?
Am gliding on these wheels, perhaps now am sliding. Do you know how it feels?
I sometimes fear the emotions, latent, confusing, engulfing
It gets harder every morning. I feel these pains, no motivation. What’s the deal?
Am gliding on these wheels, the paradox in my life
Despite all the heating I feel this great Chill
My Sahara and
Liken life to soil, why is mine so hard to till?
Near misses, almost there, nearly there will I ever get there?
Am gliding on these wheels, the noose and earth beckon
Perhaps at the end of today, I will write my will
I shall leave my empty life and my earthy belongings behind
But with whom shall I leave my broken heart? My dilemma
Yet, I have no desire to end a life, even mine. I can’t even kill a fly
But living without the joy of loving is a void too big to fill.
Am gliding on these wheels. A life on auto pilot
I even remember to eat and pay my bill. Enough of my musing, so many things to do
Amazing how easily, how well you can drive, when your mind is far away
I get to the office, sit down and at once feel ill
My boss thinks I should rest my aching body, but it’s my mind that’s sick
Am gliding on these wheels. This ever present emptiness.
I wonder what’ll happen if I take a bit more of this pill
Ah! Sweet release. Am sleeping already. Perhaps this time it’ll be forever
Would I be missed? If I die will the world come to a standstill?
A father who loves me. My mother would die for me. My sister would kill for me. Still
Their love is of another kind. A void, an ache they can’t fulfil.
I resolve, not to die. I will struggle; I will survive for a reason
I will trod on with a resolute will
I will share my lack of love. I will visit it on that gender that plunged me downhill
Am gliding on these wheels. Now back in control?
Am having my fun with every Jill
Big, small, tall, short, slim, fat. Devoid of race, I share my skill
It’s Pathetic. They now crave for love. They grovel for it. Am sorry. No more to give
Enjoy to your fill, I’ll pay the bill. Then please go away. I enjoy the thrill
I have killed love. It’s senseless. Buy the cow? Not when the milk is free
Am gliding on these wheels. Now I don’t care
What’s this wedge?
Let go! Away! Am yet to eat to my fill
It refuses to go away. My joy. Do you want to steal?
Am perplexed
What’s the deal?
Alarm rings! Ah! Its morning still. Thank God!
Professor is making breakfast on the grill
I hugged her tightly until she screamed with that voice I know so well
I never want to let go. Her face is grim
‘What’s the matter baby’?
Darling what a dream I had. The thought of it gives me the chill
It was so vivid and seemed so real
A type of pain I never wish to feel
I wonder what my life would have been
I would have gone on without a will
I saw my life, like I never knew it before
Magic and tragic
It was disturbing still.
I am relieved as I wake up. Realizing it was a nightmare of sorts
With my sunshine at my side, how wonderful I feel
Imagine, oh imagine how life was without you.

I went searching!!!
I went searching for a star
I looked up to heaven. Heaven. Heaven said: you don’t need a star
‘What do I need’? I asked heaven.’ You need to find out yourself’ heaven says
I went searching for a path.
I look down to the Earth. Mother Earth says: ‘you’ve missed your path’
‘What do I need’? I asked Mother Earth.’ I don’t know’ Mother Earth says. Keep on searching.
I went searching for a test
I looked across to Fire. Fire says.’ Man, you’ve been thoroughly tested you’re akin to pure metal. You’ve not lost steam and you have enough heat. Continue your search
I went searching in the sea
I asked the sea. ‘Open your belly, uncover your secrets, and tell me what I seek you treacherous entity. tell me now or a curse on you I place’.
The sea roared and answered ‘ingrates all of you. Always, you remember my worst and not my best. I would return a curse on you as well but I pity you as your heart is heavy. You need no more voyages. Your search will not end here’
I went searching in the Wind
Swift entity, whisk me away, whisper in my ear, what am I looking for. I implore you. You enter every nook and cranny, you are in every crevice, you hear the whisper of lovers, and you must know what I seek.
The Wind answered. Although I love your flattery still I’m unable to help you. Your search confuses even me so please go ask the heavens
I went searching in the heaven- again
‘Will you help me now’?
Hmmm even I can not aid a search that is complete.
You cannot look for what you already have
You don’t need to look for what you never lost
I think you know what I am talking about
But it was good you searched so you know for sure

Am I in danger?
Yet, alas it was to a total stranger
Is he? Am not quite sure about that.
That
A Collector of secrets? A man of tact, perhaps a buyer of fact?
Am torn between familiar emotions. Mostly anguish and anger.
For yet again I have laid my life flat
Am I now at mercy of this stranger?
Am I in danger?
My daydream for this stranger
This dream in Technicolor confuses all my facts
I ask myself: what is his agenda?
How could one call start such a pact?
Is this going to be positive and a life changer
What is going to be the impact?
Am I in danger from this stranger?
Is he still? Am not sure of that.
His heart speaks to mine so what is the danger?
Show restrain? Caution and tact? Find out more about his heart?
One thing I know for a fact: There’s no danger with this stranger
